ANNOUNCEMENTS
Saint Malachy School is now on Twitter! You can start following us at @SMSBrownsburg .
Field day will go on even if we have rain, but please continue to pray for no rain at least in the morning. I have a few reminders for tomorrow:
*Wear sunscreen even if its cloudy/rainy....Indiana weather changes on a dime.
*All students should bring a water bottle to carry with them from station to station.
*Students are casual all day. In the morning they should wear their team color, but in the afternoon they don't have to wear their team color.
*Students should not wear sandals or flip flop shoes because of safety.
*Their change of clothing should include underclothes and shoes, and I would recommend a plastic bag to put their wet clothes in.
It is hard to believe that we only have about two and half weeks left in the 2012 school year. This year has been another great year where together we continue to grow and try new things. I am pleased to announce that Mrs. Amy Garner will be joining our 5th grade team. Together with Miss Beyke they will be quite the duo.

I am excited to announce that St. Malachy now has a Twitter, please follow us at @SMSBrownsburg. As always, we continually look at ways to improve our communication that incorporates the latest technology. I plan on using this to send out information such as important dates, recognitions, delays and events. This will be in addition to our weekly notes, voice communication and newsletter.
Next I will be developing a Facebook page that will be another means of communication to our current families as well as the community. We will also be developing an Alumni component to help us stay connected with our families and students once they leave.
It appears not everyone is following our car rider expectations. For safety reasons no one should be exiting from our NORTH entrance between the hours of 7:15 and 3:00.
Please, please, please do not let any student, staff or family in the door. We need all individuals to be buzzed in so that we know exactly who is in our building. We also have a daily bulletin that is submitted by teachers of who we are to expect. Thank you for your understanding with all the new policies they are implemented to ensure the safety of all students and staff.
Car Rider Parents to insure safety and efficiency please help in locating your students during the dismissal process.
Arrival/dismissal: Please remember to only exit from the south entrance, this ensures a safe and timely dismissal.
Please do not bring your animals into to the school or in the parking lot at dismissal. We have some students that have anxiety towards animals as well as to ensure the safety of all students, staff, parents and animals.
Extended day bills will be sent home every Monday on bright pink paper, to avoid late fees please pay by Friday of each week.
With all of the illnesses going around please make sure your child is fever-free for 24 hours, without aid of fever reducing medication, or have not vomited or had diarrhea within this time period prior to returning to school
Extended day email change: kwojo@stmalachy.org
All volunteers must be up to date on their Virtus online bulletins, I will be compiling reports on who is out of compliance and will be in contact with you please send in your bulletin verification statements for our files. Also, all volunteers are now required to sign a Code of Conduct waiver, these will be available in the office. If you have any questions regarding your Virtus account please feel free to contact Mrs. Bostrom who can assist you. Thank you for your understanding with this new process implemented by the diocese.
