Student Council
Student Council is a leadership organization designed to give students a voice in their school. It communicates students’ ideas, interests, and concerns with teachers and administrators; promotes school-wide activities; and fosters a positive atmosphere throughout the school.
Being selected as a member of student council is both an honor and a responsibility. One homeroom representative is elected from each classroom in grades 4-8. And the executive board, which is made up of the President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary, is voted into office by every registered voter in grades 4-8.
These 7th and 8th grade leaders direct the student council meetings and have a large role in determining the council’s priorities.
