Miss Jackie SwihART.
Graduated from Marian College in the spring of 1985 with a BA in Visual ARTs and a specialization in Education.
Began teaching ART at St. Malachy School in the fall of 1986.
St. Malachy’s ART program is diverse in its media, focuses on the elements and principles of ART, explores famous ARTists and periods in ART history, and develops skills needed in ART and in all educational areas.
Students in kindergarten have ART once a week and first through fifth graders have ART twice a week on Mondays, Thursdays, or Fridays.
Middle School students have ART twice a week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Students are encouraged to express themselves while learning the importance of following directions and using ART media correctly.
ART students are given the opportunity and are encouraged to express their faith in the work they create.
Children are God’s greatest works of ART!
